❄️ Whakatipu Ski Club – Membership Terms & Conditions
Membership Period
Membership runs from 1 April to 31 March each year. All membership fees are non-refundable.
What Members Agree To
By joining WSC, members agree to:
- Follow all club policies, lodge rules, and health & safety requirements
- Supervise their children at all times
- Treat volunteers, committee members, and other members with respect
- Sign in all guests when using the lodge (first visit free)
- Leave all lodge areas clean and tidy after use
Using the Lodge
- Members and guests use the lodge at their own risk
- Access may be restricted due to weather, maintenance, or safety needs
- Members are responsible for the behaviour and safety of their guests
Lessons & Programmes
- WSC does not run or manage ski lessons.
- All lesson enquiries, bookings, and issues must be directed to NZSki
- Any discounts or codes for NZSki programmes are managed solely by NZSki
Health & Safety
Members agree to:
- Follow all safety signage and committee instructions
- Report hazards or incidents promptly
- Use heaters, fire, and appliances responsibly
- Ensure their equipment is safe and well-maintained
Privacy
- Personal information is used for membership administration and club communication.
- Data is stored securely and not shared except as required by law.
Volunteering
WSC is a volunteer-run community club. Members can support the club by helping at working bees, Ski Sale Meals on Wheels, or fundraisers.
If a member cannot volunteer, they may choose to pay a $210 volunteer opt-out donation.
Conduct
Membership may be suspended or cancelled if a member:
- Acts unsafely
- Harasses or abuses volunteers or other members
- Fails to follow lodge rules
- Brings the club into disrepute
No refunds apply in these cases.
Liability
Members participate in club activities at their own risk. WSC is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property.

By completing the membership registration, members confirm they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
